SUCTION HOSE – ARMOURED

APPLICATION:

Suction removal of waste liquids, slurries, or water from reservoirs, tanks or rivers in mine treatment plants, industry and agriculture. Wire helix reinforcement prevents the walls from collapsing when under suction/vacuum. These hoses must not be mistaken for high pressure, armoured delivery hose as their construction does not allow for high pressures. They can be used in low to medium pressure applications only, i.e. maximum 7 bars. This applies to the heavy duty suction hoses 6 metre lengths, with flanged ends, commonly stocked by Universal Rubber and Hose.

CONSTRUCTION :

Smooth black inner tube, covered with multiple plies of wrapped fabric reinforcement, between which is an 6 gauge galvanised wire spiral reinforcement, with a black wrapped abrasive and UV resistant outer cover.

NR/SBR compound.

Table “D” flanged fittings can be built in and vulcanised to the hose ends whilst manufactured, or belled or plain ends are optional.

Abbreviations for hose ends are:

FBE – flanged both ends (Table D type)
BEE – belled (or swollen) each end
PE – plain ends both sides

NOTE: Hoses can have custom-made combination ends, e.g. flanged one end, the other belled, or plain one end, the other flanged.

Flanged ends are 6mm rubber lined and rubber faced, ensuring smooth flow and easy sealing respectively.
