HYDRAULIC HOSE – HIGH PRESSURE DOUBLE WIRE

APPLICATION:

Used in hydraulic applications where high pressure hydraulic oil is directed to rams which extend a hinged machine part, while an opposing force ram is released for oil pressure, thereby returning to its retracted position. Typical machines are back-acting diggers, tractor 3-point linkage, machine buckets and scoops, bulldozers, graders and tipper trucks.

Hose assemblies are made up with special, steel high pressure end fittings for attachment onto the ram, control box, pump, etc. These fittings are usually swage type (crimped onto the hose end and permanent) while some agricultural machines use reusable fittings which can be removed from their hose assembly. The most common fitting types are BSP and JIC, and high-pressure fittings have a notch in the edges of their collar, denoting high pressure, while medium pressure fittings are without these notches.

Hydraulics is a technical field requiring trained personnel to advise and repair systems, hoses, rams, etc. Universal Rubber and Hose will stock some high pressure hydraulic hoses, but do not offer or stock the fittings or hose assemblies. These would need to be supplied or made to customer’s order preferably with a sample assembly.

CONSTRUCTION:

Oil, resistant, smooth, black inner tube, reinforced with two layers of steel braid. Smooth black outer cover resistant to oil, UV and abrasion, all NBR special compounds. Manufactured to SAE 100 R2 specifications and marked such on the side of the hose.

Temperature range: – 40°C to +125°C
