BELT LACING

  • This hinged type of multiple toothed belt lacing is used on light duty, fairly thin conveyor belts requiring a small bend radius due to small head and tail pulleys.
  • Thin conveyor belts are butt end joined, using the correct belt lacing number accordingly to the belt thickness, i.e.

NOTE:

The belt lacing number as a decimal of one inch of 25.4mm, equals the maximum belt thickness, e.g. No. 25 Belt Lacing would be 0.25 x 25.4 = 6.35mm max, thickness.

Once the teeth of the lacing strips have been hammered (or pressed) through the conveyor belt end, the protruding teeth are flattened over, leaving a smooth, tight joint.
